Assoc Prof Rachel Phillips is an Associate Professor in Medical Statistics and Clinical Trials, Head of Clinical Trial Statistics at Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU), School of Public Health. Rachel is an applied trial statistician and clinical trials methodologist with 15 years’ experience across academia and industry. She has expertise in the design, conduct, analysis, monitoring, and reporting of clinical trials, across pharmacological and complex interventions and emerging innovative trial designs. Her methodological research focuses on innovation for the reporting and analysis of adverse events in clinical trials and the development of statistical methods to better identify adverse reactions. This work has achieved national and international visibility, reflected in invited talks, contributions to international guidance, and collaborations aimed at improving trial practice. She established and currently leads a harms theme for the MRC-NIHR Trials Methodology Research Partnership Outcomes Working Group.
