Dr Gandhi is a medical statistician with over 20 years of experience in clinical trial methodology, spanning both the pharmaceutical industry and academic research.
He is currently the Head of Biostatistics unit at the Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) and Assistant Professor, Centre for Biomedical Data Science, Duke-NUS Medical School.
As an expert in the design and analysis of large-scale, multi-country clinical trials, he has provided statistical guidance for diverse research portfolios, including Phase I to III randomized controlled trials, cluster randomized trials, and longitudinal cohort studies. In addition, he has methodological expertise in the development, validation, and health state valuation of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs).
Beyond his technical work, he is a dedicated educator and regularly teaches on clinical trial study design and applied biostatistics for doctoral and master's programs. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles with more than 4,000 citations and has been ranked as a Top 2% Scientist by citation impact in 2023 and 2024.
He has also been recognized as a Chartered Statistician by the Royal Statistical Society, UK, and a Chartered Scientist by the Science Council, UK.
