Prof Li is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy.
He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical and Health Outcomes from the University of South Carolina and completed a Fellowship in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Prof Li’s research focuses on real-world evidence (RWE), health policy, and health economics to support clinical and policy decision-making. He has extensive experience leveraging RWE and applying AI/ML to generate scientific evidence across diverse racial and ethnic populations. He has contributed to more than 20 funded research grants from prestigious agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Prof Li has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals, including *The Lancet*. His work has been recognized with more than 10 research awards, including Best Paper Awards from the *Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy*. His research findings have also been featured in major media outlets such as *The New York Times*.
