Professor Ching Lung Cheung is a leading expert in real‑world evidence and musculoskeletal research, and currently serves as Director of the Real World Study and Application Centre (RWSAC) at the Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI).
He obtained his undergraduate degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and completed his PhD at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He further strengthened his research training through postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School, A*STAR Singapore, and HKU.
Prior to joining GBAICTI, Professor Cheung was an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at HKU, with research focusing on the epidemiology and genetics of osteoporosis using real‑world data.
He holds several leadership roles, including Fellow and committee member of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and President of the Osteoporosis Society of Hong Kong. He has authored over 180 peer‑reviewed publications in leading international journals.
