Operations ChairAsia Pacific Gynecologic Oncology Trials (APGOT)
Ms Alison Evans is the Operations Chair of the Asia Pacific Gynecologic Oncology Trials group (APGOT) since 2022. Ms Evans has been the Chief Executive Officer, Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG), for 14 years from 2012.
APGOT is a rapidly growing trials network across Asia and the Pacific which is now representing more than 12 countries and regions for both advisory services to industry and academic investigator-initiated studies.
As APGOT Operations Chair, Ms Evans is a member of the APGOT Executive Committee and leads the operational strategy and contributes to the governance oversight for the organisation.
ANZGOG is the peak national gynaecological cancer research organisation for Australia and New Zealand. Our vision is: ‘Advancing research, saving lives’. Its mission is to improve outcomes and quality of life for everyone with a lived experience of gynaecological cancer by conducting and promoting clinical trials and multidisciplinary research.
Ms Evans has a background as a senior manager and CEO for much of her career with a focus on building organisations in areas such as medical research, industry membership, environment and community.
