Dr Shi Luming is the Scientific Director at the Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI) and Deputy Director of Cochrane Singapore. Her academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine, an MSc in Clinical Sciences, and an MSc in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics. She has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with core expertise in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), health technology assessment (HTA), program evaluation, research methodology, evidence-based medicine, public health, and disease surveillance. She has contributed to numerous research projects as a co-investigator.
Dr Shi has been leading the HEOR team at SCRI since 2013. Prior to joining SCRI, she gained extensive knowledge in health services delivery and healthcare financing through her hands-on experience with the Health Promotion Board (HPB), National Healthcare Group (NHG), Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), and the Ministry of Health (MOH). These experiences have further strengthened her expertise in HEOR.
In addition to her research work, Dr Shi has extensive teaching experience in research methodology. She served as the Course Director for the Fundamentals of Research and Scholarship course in the MD Programme at Duke-NUS and was an invited lecturer for the LKC Medicine PhD Programme.
