Dr Burkill is a senior biostatistician based at the Singapore Clinical Research Institute.
Her current role primarily involves trial implementation and data analysis across a diverse range of subject areas, including oncology, myopia progression, and interventional radiology.
Prior to joining SCRI, Sarah worked in a number of roles, including as a statistician at University College London in the UK, and at Karolinska Institute in Sweden, where she completed her PhD in Epidemiology using real-world evidence (RWE) sources on multiple sclerosis patients. Sarah then completed her postdoctoral work at NUS before working as a lead epidemiologist at OPRI research. She joined SCRI in 2022.
Sarah has co-authored over 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including as a first author, and has presented at multiple international conferences. She has taught various courses, including introduction to pharmacoepidemiology lectures and computer workshops, whilst at Karolinska, and training on statistical techniques and sample size calculations whilst at NUS.
