Mr John Andrews is the Manager – Research Programs and Pipeline - for the Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG). In this role, Mr Andrews oversees the academic, investigator-initiated clinical trial portfolio of research that seeks to improve the lives of patients diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer across Australia and New Zealand. On behalf of ANZGOG, he has overseen more than 30 clinical trials, across a range of gynaecological cancers.
Mr Andrews is the current Chair of the Gynecologic Cancer InterGroup (GCIG) Harmonisation Operations committee. Through this role, he facilitates discussion and educational opportunities amongst representatives of the 33-country consortium in optimising cross-country collaborations in large Phase II and Phase III clinical trials; a role that relies on the leadership and experience he has garnered in international trial conduct. He is also actively involved in the Asia Pacific Gynaecologic Oncology Trials (APGOT group and sits on various committee within the consortium. Locally, Mr Andrews is the current Chair of the Australian Clinical Trial Alliance (ACTA) Research Managers Network and sits on various advisory committees and panels across the clinical trial industry.
